Recently, I had my SSB interview in Allahabad, and it was quite an eventful experience.
My interview was scheduled for the 12th of May. I arrived at Prayagraj Junction on the 11th of May at 10 PM.
I found out that the dormitories, which cost 135 rupees for a stay of 12 hours, were fully occupied. So, I managed to get a room for 300 rupees about 600 meters away from the station.
After having my meal at the station, I went to my room and slept. The next morning, I woke up at 4 am, got ready, and reached the MCO office at Prayagraj Junction.
There was a free bus service from Prayagraj junction to the Carriapa SSB gate.
At the Gate, After checking my ID, I was called inside, and they checked my roll number, date, and Aadhar card. After that, we were asked to leave our bags and belongings and were sent for breakfast, which consisted of sandwiches and jam. After breakfast, all 169 candidates were called into the hall.
Here, document verification and submission of TA (Travel allowance) forms took place. After this, we were assigned chest numbers. Once this was done, the OIR (Officer Intelligence Rating ) test commenced. It had two sets of papers. The first set had 50 questions to be completed in 32 minutes, and then we received the second set with 40 questions.
Following the OIR test, the PPDT (Picture Perception and Description Test) took place. An image was shown for 30 seconds, and we had to write a story about it within 4 minutes.

Then, we were divided into groups of 15, and each group was sent to separate rooms. In these rooms, we had to narrate our stories one by one. After that, we had a group discussion and then had to collectively prepare a final story.
After completing these tasks, we were sent for lunch. after lunch, we were called back to the hall, and those who were selected were held back while the rest of us were sent home.
